A good ad commercial is nothing but a slice of life dipped into day-to-day activities, relatable characters and an emotional connect. All this in just a few seconds, but the challenge is to sell a brand while telling the story.
Here at FFVA, we begin with ideas, brainstorming, more brainstorming, re-writing the ideas and zeroing down to the most saleable idea- the quirkiest one. You learn the craft of visualization and story boarding along with other aspects of ad filmmaking. You also get to explore a completely different world of writing and to make a corporate film too. Industry experts mentor you to bring out the best of ideas.
The best concepts that get selected are transformed into television commercials and corporate films.

The 6 months course trains students in script writing, direction, cinematography and editing along with specializing in ad filmmaking.
This specialization allows students to be a writer and director for an ad film and a corporate film, while the cinematography specialization trains students on how to handle the camera.
Creative thinking + Storytelling
Content rules. Brainstorming, ideation and characterizations are practiced rigorously to make you a creative professional and not just a technician.
WRITING, EDITING & TECHNOLOGY
Intensive sessions are conducted for script writing. You will practice the art of writing, forming interesting situations & relatable situations- all of this while having your product in mind. You will also be given intense training in film editing; you will make your first TV commercial project as a team.
Apart from writing, you also learn about how an ad agency works, what are the different departments involved, the creativity involved in the visualization and execution process.
SCRIPT WRITING & CINEMATOGRAPHY
The faculty ensures that the students are involved in a lot of brainstorming and writing exercises, while thinking on their feet. Along with writing & direction, knowledge in cinematography helps them visualize the idea in a more practical and efficient manner.
Auditions, Art work, Costume departments …all this needs to be supervised by the director. You shoot your ad film project as a writer & a director. The faculty guides you throughout the entire process.
COMPLETION AND PLACEMENTS
Post-production of the project gets completed and preparations start for your placements in the industry. The FFVA placement cell works towards placing you as an assistant director/ creative head in the Ad film industry.
The FFVA faculty comprises of chief technicians currently working in the Indian film industry. Hence, the students are updated with the latest industry events and technology.
A Writer, Director and Film Producer, Keerthi has been a part of the film industry for over a decade. He started his career as editor and was associated with many big brands in the advertising world. Later he worked in ads, corporate films & got associated with Indian and International brands such as Philips, Deutsche Bank, Norwich. After the movies “Oru Modhal Oru Kadhal” as Writer & Director, “Pedavi Datani Matokatundhi” as Writer & Producer, he is lined up with more films in telugu and tamil. Also the Founder of FFVA, Keerthi guides students through the entire process of filmmaking and gives an expert insight to the different crafts of cinema. With the experience of Do’s and Dont’s in the industry, he gives amazing career guidance to the students and makes sure they are focussed and disciplined, ready to kickstart their journey into the entertainment industry.
Aditi is the producer of telugu movie “Pedavi Datani Matokatundhi” which released in July 2018. She produces films under the banner Film Monks Entertainment. Also the founder of FFVA, she gives excellent insight to the business side of filmmaking and how the industry works. With a strong network in the film industry, her vision to create and produce more films makes her the best person to guide students into the field. Started off as a journalist, she was an integral part of content creation for various ads and feature films. She guides students starting from the process of content creation till the release. Aditi is an asset to FFVA and it makes our academy standout, being run by a film producer
Partib has been very closely associated with the Bollywood world for over 6 years. He worked as an associate director for Anand L Rai who directed ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, which was a blockbuster hit, along with few more. When he’s not filming in Bombay, he travels and directs corporate films and TV commercials for big names such as Nike and more. He also has a lot of government projects in his worklist.
Ad filmmakers from the industry regularly visit FFVA to guide and train students. You will get a clear insight of the ad film world- where to get projects from and the right contacts to enter the industry.
